History

In 1999 Ferrari Space Division (former Ferrari Engineering) started operating as DTM srl, in order to fulfil to a precise company strategy, which strongly relies on outsourcing of highly specialized sectors not directly involved in car manufacturing.

DTM srl is a separate legal entity with respect to Ferrari SpA. Nevertheless, the Ferrari "Space Division" designers and technicians have merged in DTM, and are operating from the DTM premises of Modena, using all the know-how in space and industrial projects design, manufacturing and testing achieved in years of direct involvement.
