Prime Contractor Airbus Defence and Space - Germania
For the EML facility (Electro Magnetic Levitator), DTM has been responsible for the design, structural and thermal verifications, manufacturing integration and testing of thermal control system LPS/WAT and EXM experiment module infrastructure.
DTM has also fully designed and realized the extra high purity gas delivery module for the Experiment Unit (MDP 200 bar).

Refrigerator Freezer Rack (QM)
Prime Contractor EADS Space Transportation - Germany
For the RFR facility DTM was responsible for the design, calculation, manufacturing and integration of the whole structure (CVE - cold volume enclosure) that will have to be accomodated into the rack. The structure is made mainly in glass fibre composite material and partly in aluminium. The CVE is a monolithique 1500 x 950 x 900 mm structure weighing only 150 Kg which has to carry a total mass of about 480 Kg (drawers, cargo, accessories, electronic…) and withstand the huge launch and landing accelerations (equivalent to a force of roughly 1 ton).

EMCS Experiment containers
Prime contractor EADS Space Transportation - Germany
DTM was responsible on behalf of EADS ST for manufacturing, testing and qualification of the mechanical parts of EMCS Experiment Containers flight models including the transparent covers. The EC design is shown in the figure below and is composed mainly by the base-plate and by the transparent cover which allows illumination and observation.
